Community Participation and Social Welfare in 2025
The headquarter of the Company is located at the Neihu Technology Park in Neihu District, Taipei City. Since its establishment, the Company has adhered to the principles of maintaining steady operational growth, creating more employment opportunities, engaging in local community participation and promoting social welfare. We strive to provide our employees with a friendly workplace, a delightful culture, and a safe working environment, which are all in line with our sustainability goals. The Company has been awarded the Taipei City Middle-aged & Elderly Workers Friendly Enterprise Certification for 3 consecutive years and the 1111 Job Bank Happiness Enterprise Gold Award and Silver Award in 2024 and 2025. Furthermore, in order to implement the occupational health and safety policies of "law compliance", "hazard prevention", "competence awareness", "continuous improvement", and "total participation", we obtained the ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System certificate through third party certification in February 2024. A follow-up evaluation included the addition of a new organizational scope - Taoyuan Housheng Warehouse Center - was certified by third-party certification body in November 2024. The second verification and follow-up evaluation were completed on December 1–3, 2025 by Ares International Certification Co., Ltd., with the operation of management system certified as continually effective, and agreeing to maintain the certificate of registration (certificate No. ARES/TW/I2402011S). This ensured that our employees can contribute in a safe and sound workplace, which responds to the SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) of the United Nations.
As of December 2025, most of our employees at the Neihu headquarter live in Taipei, New Taipei, Keelung, Yilan, and Taoyuan, totaling around 447 people, and others in Hsinchu, Taichung, and Kaohsiung offices amount to 24 people in total. This corresponds to our effort in ensuring that the Company offers employment opportunities and welfare coverage for the community. The Company is committed to community engagement, with a focus on the residential distribution of our employees while extending our efforts to other regions and underserved areas. Our community participation, industry-academia collaboration, and technology talent development span across Taiwan, responding to the SDG 1 (No Poverty), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships) of the United Nations. Below are the details of our community participation and social welfare activities in 2025:
1. Employee Participation in Community Welfare Activities
1.1 Employee participation in beach clean-up on March 20, 2025
In adherence to the sustainable view of "Reduction, Sharing and Love the Earth," Weikeng participated in the joint beach clean-up activity organized by GIGABYTE Technology for two consecutive years. In 2025, a total of 185 participants, including supply chains of upstream and downstream manufacturers of GIGABYTE Technology, joined forces at Shalun Beach of Taoyuan, Dayuan — also known as the Pig Snout Beach — and removed over 1.8 tons of beach waste. By taking action together to protect our ocean, we strived to contribute to the restoration of the pristine coastline of Taiwan. A total of 1,809 kilograms of waste was cleared, including: fishing nets and buoys: 147 kilograms, marine debris: 250 kilograms, general waste: 458 kilograms, rubber: 22 kilograms, plastic products: 83 kilograms, Styrofoam: 364 kilograms, PET bottles: 244 kilograms, glass: 84 kilograms, tires: 68 kilograms, paper: 4 kilograms and iron: 85 kilograms. Weikeng also shared its sustainable implementation with its up-stream venders and down-stream customers and brainstormed on carbon reduction management, aiming to collectively enhance the sustainability strength of the supply chain.
1.2 Sponsored the 5th Taipei Technology Run
In response to the Corporate Governance Evaluation Indicator 4.21 Promoting Community Development, ESG-Social Issues (Employee Welfare, Community Participation and Care), and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs (SDG 3 Health and Well-being, SDG 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth), we will participate in the The 5th Taipei Technology Run on April 20, 2025. Up to 61 colleagues participated in the event by registering as the Company’s team and with a sponsorship amount of NT$100,000.- (NT$50,000.- for water station & NT$50,000.- for starlight billboard advertisement). This event provides team building opportunities as well as promoting the health of colleagues and highlighting Weikeng’s corporate image.
1.3 2025 Blood Donation Campaign
To uphold the vitality of life and promote a harmonious society through blood donations, Weikeng, in partnership with the Taipei Blood Center of Taiwan Blood Services Foundation, organized a one-day blood donation event on August 14, 2025. We encouraged employees from our Neihu offices and invited other companies of the same building to participate in this effort, aiming to alleviate the blood shortage of the summer period. A total of 105 donors who met the donation criteria participated, resulting in 38,000 milliliters (152 bags) of blood donated, with 61 employees from the Company donating 23,000 milliliters (92 bags), and 44 donors from other companies or neighborhood donating 15,000 milliliters (60 bags). This event not only raised the awareness of social sustainability among our employees but also brought together the companies of the same community, reinforcing our commitment to community development and equality.
1.4 Employee Health Initiative:
To enhance ESG–Social performance and align with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), the Sustainability Executive Office launched the "2025 Physical Wellness Program – Outdoor Fitness for Health" in June 2025. This three-month initiative aimed to strengthen employee health awareness and foster regular habits of monitoring blood pressure and body weight. The program comprised five distinct categories, including physical training courses, outdoor walking events, Nordic walking practice, and InBody assessments. To support continuous health tracking, employees utilized the Walkii app to record blood pressure, weight, and step counts. Furthermore, the company procured eight additional blood pressure monitors and body composition scales for communal use. Through these measures, the company sought to reduce risks associated with metabolic syndrome and encourage a balanced, health-conscious work environment.
The specific activities and participation results are summarized as follows:
Based on the quantitative results of this year’s event, it is evident that through the Employee Health Initiative, the final data show positive progress compared with 2024 in employees’ body weight, body fat percentage, and waist-to-hip ratio. Beyond safeguarding employees’ health, we also aim to cultivate good exercise habits and foster a positive fitness culture, working together toward a healthier and better life.
2. Corporate Contributions and Sponsorships for Community Organizations and Public Welfare Activities
2.1 2025 "Caring for Seniors Living Alone or Underprivileged and Senior Active Life Plan"
The Company continued to care and support the operation of the Neihu Elder Welfare Concerned Association, following our donation in October, 2024, the Company again donated NT$ 500,000 to the Neihu Elder Welfare Concerned Association for their " Caring for Seniors Living Alone or Underprivileged and Senior Active Life Plan" in November, 2025, totaling NT$ 1,000,000 in the last two years. Our donation helped provide essential supplies, health services, and community care for elderly individuals, including those living alone or in poverty in Taipei City, including Neihu District. The program also included various festival care services, home repairs, glasses advices, medical assistance, and health promoting activities aiming at improving the quality of life for elders within the community.
3. Sponsorship for Medical Resources
3.1 2024 South-Link Medical Care Program
In addition to supporting local charities and communities, our commitment also expanded to medical assistance for remote areas. The Company continued to care and support the South-Link Medical Care Program. Following the donation in October, 2024, the Company again donated NT$ 500,000 in December, 2025, totaling NT$ 1,000,000 in two years, continue to aim to provide medical services to underprivileged areas, including Dawu, Daren, Jinfen, and Taimali. The program is expected to provide mobile healthcare to 1,200 individuals, 4,700 outpatient visits, 1,440 home care services, 80 emergency medical subsidies over the period of 2025-2027. Our contribution may help the Foundation to undertake discharged patients from hospitals in Taitung and neighboring areas, provide home and post-discharge medical services, and reduce travel costs for the public. This project also aims to create a sustainable symbiosis in the local area, train and hire more manpower, and provide employment opportunities in the South-Link area.
4. Sponsorship for Education & Research Institutions
4.1 Donation to National Dong Hwa University " 0403 Earthquake Reconstruction Donation for NDHU"
Based on the fact that the Company held its Family Day in the Hualien area this year, the Company donated NT1,000,000 to Dong Hwa University for the repair and off-site reconstruction of College of Science and Engineering, in response to the corporate governance evaluation indicator 4.21 to promote community development and related issues, ESG-Social issues (community participation and care) and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs (indicator SDG 4 Quality Education). On the morning of the event, the Chairman and the Vice-President of Dong Hwa University participated in the acceptance ceremony at the opening of the Weikeng Family Day event at Farglory Ocean Park in Hualien.
4.2 Chinese Society for Enterprise Valuation
To promote academic activities related to corporate evaluation and support the government's initiatives in knowledge economy and corporate evaluation activities, the Company sponsored the Chinese Association of Valuation that situates in Taipei with NT$300,000 again in April, 2025. Our goals are in line with the government, encouraging the development of knowledge forums, academic seminars and elevating the critical thinking of the public.
4.3 Chinese Society for Management of Technology
Aiming to bring together talents in technology management, especially in the Neihu area, the Company followed up our NT$ 200,000 sponsors in April, 2024, again sponsored the Chinese Society for Management of Technology with NT$200,000 in 2025. This sponsorship aimed to facilitate collaboration among industry, government, and academic research institutions in the fields of technology management and sustainable development.
5. Company Movie Day- Support domestic cultural development
5.1 In response to the corporate governance indicator 4.22 to support domestic cultural and artistic activities and cultural and creative industries, the Company specially reserved the venue at Miramar Cinema in Dazhi on September 20, 2025, inviting colleagues and their families to enter the cinemas, with a total of 528 turnouts. The Company’s input for supporting such event was NT$ 140,000. The director and actor were invited to the cinemas to show appreciation before the movie was broadcasted, sharing the shooting experience, and taking a group photo, leaving good memories for colleagues.
6. Environmental Reservation and Biodiversity Projects
6.1 Family Day Marine Life and Environmental Conservation Quiz
In recognition of Family Day being held at Hualien Farglory Ocean Park this year, the Sustainability Office thoughtfully organized a quiz focused on marine conservation and environmental protection awareness. Through engaging in interactive games and challenges, employees and their families were invited to gain a deeper understanding of marine life conservation and environmental protection. This initiative aimed to foster greater awareness of conservation issues among all participants.
6.2 Guandu Nature Park Activity
To respond to ESG – Environment issues, and in alignment with future frameworks such as the Taskforce on Naturerelated Financial Disclosures (TNFD), the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) indicators — GBF 4 (management actions for threatened species), GBF 14 (mainstreaming biodiversity), GBF 15 (corporate responsibility) — as well as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 4 Quality Education and SDG 15 Life on Land (wetlands), our employee health initiatives incorporated an eco-tour to further enhance environmental awareness. Our employees visited the Guandu Nature Park to witness stunning migratory wetland birds and amazing native wetland species. Ultimately learning about local biodiversity and deepening their understanding of wetland habitat protection and the importance of conserving wetland ecosystems.
6.3 Kaohsiung Qieding Wetland Tree-Planting
The 2025 Physical Wellness Program integrated the Walkii step-tracking App, aside from encouraging friendly competition and increase employee engagement, we collaborated with Kaohsiung i-Planting Association (partner of the Walkii App), participating in their “Crowdfunding Afforestation Plan”. The total number of steps accumulated by employees resulted in the planting of 12 native tree saplings at Qieding wetland, Kaohsiung. This contribution supports ongoing ecological restoration efforts and the development of wetland habitats for native Taiwanese species.
6.4 Taipingshan Taiwan Broad-tailed Swallowtail (Papilio maraho) & Sassafras Tree Restoration
In response to ESG-Environment issues, such as adopting the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) framework in the future, Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) indicators: GBF 4 (Halt Species Extinction, Protect Genetic Diversity, and Manage Human-Wildlife Conflicts), GBF 14 (integrate Biodiversity in Decision-Making), GBF 15 (Reduce Business’ Negative Impact on Biodiversity), and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), SDG 4 Quality Education, SDG 15 Life on Land and SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals, the Company initiated the "2026 Weikeng Biodiversity Project – Taipingshan Taiwan Broad-tailed Swallowtail (Papilio maraho) & Sassafras Tree Restoration" which was introduced by the Yilan Branch of the Forestry and Nature Conservation Agency, Misitry of Agricultural. The butterfly is a first-class conservation animal endemic to Taiwan, belonging to the "endangered" level, facing pressure from excessive-collecting, and the host plant for its larvae - Taiwan sassafras - is also extremely rare, so active conservation actions are demanded to protect the population and habitat of the butterfly. The company expects to donate NT$ 500,000 to The Butterfly Conservation Society of Taiwan in 2026. The project covers the conservation of the endangered species - Taiwan Broad-tailed Swallowtail, the restoration and expansion strategy for Taiwan sassafras in the Taipingshan area of Yilan (including biodiversity monitoring), providing a stable habitat and food source for Taiwan's broad-tailed butterfly, and spreading the awareness of endangered butterfly conservation by promoting subsequent habitat environment maintenance and ecological tours. The Company strives to continually participating in promoting habitat conservation and ecological tours.
7. Integrating the Tech Industry to Sponsor Sports Resources
7.1 High Tech Charity Association (HTCA)
Weikeng operates under the philosophy of "We Bring Technology and Value". By sponsoring the High Tech Charity Association (HTCA) in Taiwan, the Company collaborates with the local tech industry to support sports enthusiasts interested in golf, basketball, and other activities. It provides charitable funds to sponsor tournaments and organizes events beneficial to the physical and mental development of young people. These initiatives encourage active participation from young students, amateur athletes, and professional coaches, enabling the tech industry to contribute meaningfully to public welfare in Taiwan. From 2019 to 2025, the Company has consistently sponsored the Association, with total donations reaching NT$ 2,100,000 by 2025.
