Molex, a subsidiary of Koch Industries, has announced the opening of a new design center on June 11, 2018 in Conway, Arkansas. The center will employ more than 100 engineering and technical professionals to support growing demand for Molex high-speed technology solutions used in data centers, cloud computing and 5G hardware applications.
Molex has been in the central Arkansas community for over 30 years. “We’re excited to continue our investment in the area and provide a new, modern workspace that will give Molex greater capability and benefit our talented employees,” said Chad Jameson, general manager, IO solutions, Molex.
The center, previously in Maumelle, will serve as a primary innovation hub to support Molex’s Data Center solutions. It will focus on new product design, high speed technology development, and prototyping. It will also include world-class development labs for signal integrity, mechanical reliability, test integration and electromagnetic capability (EMC) testing.
“We extend an enthusiastic thank you to Molex for choosing Conway. It’s the highest compliment a city can receive. This investment speaks to Conway and central Arkansas’s quality of place and workforce. Innovators and entrepreneurs around the country notice when companies like Molex make site selection decisions,” said Brad Lacy, president and CEO of the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to the Arkansas design center, Molex will continue to operate a manufacturing facility located in Maumelle, AR.
